There is a wonderful little diner in the middle of nowhere in Nebraska, not too far from the Ashfall Fossil Beds State Historical Park. Surrounding the building are many old farm implements and other remnants of days gone by. And the restaurant features a gift shop with vintage items and crafts for sale. This particular antique Nebraska license plate is displayed on the wall of the entry foyer…along with several others (below).

It’s funny how an old items like a license plate can be so interesting. You can find them at many antique stores because so many people collect them even though they aren’t especially valuable. And maybe that’s why people collect them…because unlike some antiques, they aren’t expensive or rare.
